Create a room type before adding individual rooms.

Prerequisites

Select the correct property in NEXUS.

Step by Step

1. Open Rooms in the NEXUS dashboard.
2. Open Room Types.
3. Select New Type.
4. Enter a descriptive Name, such as Deluxe Double Room.
5. Enter the internal Code, such as DLX.
6. Set Maximum Occupancy (default: 2; minimum: 1).
7. Select Bed Type: King, Queen, Double, Twin, or Suite.
8. Select Create.
9. Confirm the new type appears in the list.

Result

The type is available when creating individual rooms.

Troubleshooting

Create is disabled while Name or Code is empty. If submission fails, review the error and confirm you selected a hotel.
