Hotels Are for Everyone. Digital Access Should Be Too. Accessibility Built Into the Journey.
HotelConnect24 is committed to making its websites, booking experiences and digital services more accessible to people with disabilities and to improving accessibility as the platform develops.
Accessibility is considered across website content, navigation, forms, booking interactions and platform development.
A Better Experience for More People.
HotelConnect24 aims to consider accessibility throughout the digital journey rather than treating it as a separate visual feature.
Our Accessibility Commitment.
This statement explains the accessibility approach for HotelConnect24 websites and digital services operated by Bigmedia24 Dynamics Ltd.
WCAG 2.2 Level AA Is Our Target Standard.
HotelConnect24 is being developed with WCAG 2.2 Level AA as an accessibility reference. Unless expressly stated following a completed assessment, we do not claim that every HotelConnect24 page, third-party integration or platform workflow has been independently certified as fully conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
As the public website, hotel platform, booking functionality and integrations evolve, accessibility issues identified through testing, development or user feedback are intended to be reviewed and addressed according to severity, user impact and technical feasibility.
Our Commitment to Accessibility
HotelConnect24 aims to provide digital services that can be used by as many people as reasonably possible, including people with visual, hearing, mobility, cognitive and other disabilities.
Accessibility considerations apply not only to visual design but also to navigation, interaction, forms, content structure, booking processes, authentication and technical interoperability.
Bigmedia24 Dynamics Ltd. intends to review accessibility as HotelConnect24 develops and to address material barriers identified through testing or user feedback.
Accessibility Standard
HotelConnect24 uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as its target reference for web accessibility.
WCAG is organised around four broad principles: content and interfaces should be perceivable, operable, understandable and robust.
Scope of This Statement
This statement primarily covers HotelConnect24 digital services operated by Bigmedia24 Dynamics Ltd., including as relevant:
- the public HotelConnect24 website;
- hotel registration and onboarding interfaces;
- HotelConnect24 Partner interfaces;
- HotelConnect24 booking functionality;
- guest booking-management interfaces;
- support and help content;
- account and authentication interfaces under HotelConnect24 control; and
- other HotelConnect24 web-based functionality.
Third-party websites, external distribution partners or independent hotel websites are not automatically covered by this statement merely because HotelConnect24 links to or connects with them.
How We Approach Accessible Design
HotelConnect24 aims to consider accessibility during design, development and maintenance rather than relying only on later remediation.
Relevant considerations include:
- semantic page structure;
- logical heading hierarchy;
- meaningful link text;
- keyboard accessibility;
- visible focus indication;
- colour contrast;
- readable text sizing;
- responsive layout;
- form labels;
- clear error information;
- alternative text for meaningful images;
- avoiding unnecessary reliance on colour alone; and
- compatibility with commonly used assistive technologies where practicable.
Keyboard Access
HotelConnect24 aims for core website and transactional functionality to be operable using a keyboard where the nature of the interaction permits keyboard operation.
This includes considerations such as:
- logical focus order;
- visible keyboard focus;
- keyboard-operable buttons and links;
- avoiding unnecessary keyboard traps;
- keyboard access to form controls; and
- appropriate handling of interactive components.
If you encounter an interface that cannot be completed without a mouse or another pointing device, please report the affected page and action to HotelConnect24.
Colour, Contrast and Visual Presentation
HotelConnect24 aims to use visual presentation that supports readability across common devices and viewing conditions.
Design considerations include:
- appropriate text contrast;
- clear separation between content and background;
- readable font sizes;
- sufficient line spacing;
- clear buttons and interactive controls;
- avoiding important meaning conveyed only through colour; and
- responsive layouts that avoid unnecessary horizontal scrolling.
A user's browser, operating system or assistive software may provide additional controls for text size, contrast or display preferences.
Forms, Booking and Transactional Interfaces
Forms and booking workflows are particularly important accessibility areas because they can determine whether a Guest or Hotel Partner can complete an action independently.
HotelConnect24 aims for relevant forms to include:
- clear field labels;
- understandable instructions;
- identification of required information;
- meaningful validation messages;
- errors described in text rather than colour alone;
- logical keyboard navigation;
- accessible security controls where supported;
- clear confirmation of important transactions; and
- an opportunity to review important booking information before completion where applicable.
Identification, security and payment-related functionality under HotelConnect24 control should also be considered within the accessibility requirements applicable to the relevant service.
Screen Readers and Assistive Technologies
HotelConnect24 aims to use web structures and controls that can interoperate with commonly used assistive technologies.
Relevant development practices can include:
- semantic HTML;
- meaningful headings;
- programmatically associated form labels;
- appropriate accessible names for controls;
- alternative text for meaningful non-text content;
- correct use of native interactive elements where possible; and
- ARIA information where it is necessary and correctly implemented.
Compatibility can vary according to browser, operating system, assistive technology and the particular HotelConnect24 feature involved.
HotelConnect24 does not claim compatibility with every possible assistive-technology combination.
Text Enlargement, Zoom and Responsive Design
HotelConnect24 pages are designed to adapt across different screen sizes and to support ordinary browser zoom and text enlargement without intentionally hiding essential functionality.
Responsive interfaces should generally reflow into simpler layouts rather than forcing desktop interfaces to become extremely small on mobile devices.
If enlargement causes important text, buttons, forms or booking information to overlap or disappear, please report the affected page.
Animation, Motion and Interactive Effects
HotelConnect24 does not intend to make essential functionality depend on decorative animation.
Where significant motion or animation is introduced, accessibility considerations can include:
- avoiding unnecessary flashing content;
- limiting distracting movement;
- respecting reduced-motion preferences where appropriate;
- not requiring motion gestures where an accessible alternative is required; and
- ensuring decorative effects do not prevent access to content.
Images, Icons, Documents and Media
Meaningful images used by HotelConnect24 should have appropriate text alternatives where an alternative is needed to convey their purpose.
Decorative imagery should not introduce unnecessary information for assistive technologies.
Where HotelConnect24 publishes documents or multimedia content, accessibility considerations may include:
- accessible document structure;
- descriptive titles;
- text alternatives;
- captions or transcripts where relevant;
- accessible links; and
- alternative formats where reasonably required and available.
Third-Party Content and Connected Services
HotelConnect24 connects with external hotel, distribution, technology and other third-party services.
Some third-party content or interfaces may not be designed, funded or controlled by Bigmedia24 Dynamics Ltd.
HotelConnect24 therefore cannot make a blanket accessibility claim for every external:
- hotel website;
- distribution channel;
- payment interface;
- embedded service;
- map;
- external document; or
- third-party application.
Where a third-party component forms an integral part of a service HotelConnect24 is legally responsible for providing, we will consider the applicable accessibility responsibilities for that service.
Known Limitations and Accessibility Testing
HotelConnect24 is an evolving platform. New components, booking functions, integrations and hotel interfaces can introduce accessibility issues that are not immediately detected.
Potential limitations can arise from:
- newly introduced platform functionality;
- complex interactive components;
- third-party integrations;
- legacy content;
- embedded third-party interfaces;
- external documents; and
- unusual browser or assistive-technology combinations.
When major transactional services such as the final booking engine, Partner portal and account interfaces are production-ready, they should be included in accessibility testing rather than assessing only the public marketing website.
Alternative Formats and Assistance
If information provided by HotelConnect24 is not accessible to you in its published format, contact us and explain:
- which page or information you need;
- the accessibility problem you encountered; and
- the alternative format or assistance that would help, where known.
HotelConnect24 will consider reasonable ways of providing the relevant information or assisting with access, taking account of the material, the service and applicable legal requirements.
A request for an alternative format does not need to include unnecessary medical information.
Accessibility Feedback and Reporting a Barrier
We welcome reports of accessibility barriers affecting HotelConnect24. Specific information makes it easier to reproduce and address a problem.
Tell Us What Prevented You from Using HotelConnect24.
Use the HotelConnect24 Contact page and identify the request as an Accessibility issue.
Please do not include passwords, complete payment-card information or unrelated sensitive personal data in an accessibility report.
This statement does not promise a universal response or remediation time. Accessibility reports will be assessed according to the nature, severity and impact of the issue.
European and Irish Accessibility Framework
HotelConnect24 is operated by Bigmedia24 Dynamics Ltd. in Ireland. Where a HotelConnect24 service falls within applicable accessibility legislation, the relevant legal requirements apply to that service.
Relevant frameworks can include the European Accessibility Act and its implementation in Ireland through the European Union (Accessibility Requirements of Products and Services) Regulations 2023.
The Irish regulations apply, among other covered categories, to certain e-commerce services provided to consumers from 28 June 2025, subject to the scope, exemptions and transitional rules contained in the legislation.
For covered services, accessibility requirements include making relevant digital services and functions perceivable, operable, understandable and robust.
Where HotelConnect24 provides an in-scope e-commerce service and the Irish accessibility legislation applies, the relevant statutory requirements remain applicable regardless of the wording of this statement.
Continuous Accessibility Improvement
Accessibility is not treated as a one-time website setting. HotelConnect24 intends to consider accessibility throughout the development and maintenance lifecycle.
This can include:
- design review;
- semantic development practices;
- keyboard testing;
- automated accessibility checks;
- manual testing;
- testing of critical booking workflows;
- review with assistive technologies where appropriate;
- user feedback;
- remediation of identified barriers; and
- review when significant platform functionality changes.
Automated testing alone cannot identify every accessibility problem, so meaningful review should include manual assessment of important user journeys.
